Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA)
Resolutions First has been commissioned by the QCA to conduct a 2-year research project investigating how the PEARL assessment programme can be used to engage young people who are not in education, employment or training. PEARL is a new national programme that assesses skills for employability and social and personal development. It looks at a wide range of skills such as motivating yourself, managing feelings, communicating effectively and time management.
The research project investigate the potential for using PEARL with these young people. It will also be used to assess Personal, Learning and Thinking Skills as part of the new Specialist Diploma. For more information, visit the QCA website.
British Gas
Resolutions First have worked extensively with senior management and staff at British Gas on a range of conflict resolution initiatives. These programmes have enabled staff to deal with conflict in the workplace more effectively.
Our work has included:
- Running an accredited training programme for thirty key management staff.
- Delivering work-place mediation.
- Delivering training for call centre staff in dealing with difficult situations.
